Jeffery W. Natke

Born and raised in the Detroit area, Jeffrey W. Natke is well versed in the labor movement. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in History from Alma College. He later received his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. While at MSU College of Law, Mr. Natke earned the Jurisprudence Achievement Award for top performance in both Labor Arbitration and Sports Law. He also served as an Articles Editor for the Law Review, and worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Marilyn J. Kelly, Michigan Supreme Court.

Mr. Natke has experience on both sides of the table. He began his legal career working with the premier management-side labor and employment law firm in Nevada. During his time in Las Vegas, Mr. Natke gained top-notch experience in employment litigation, counseling, and traditional labor law, including high-stakes private-sector labor negotiations. He worked for some of Nevada’s largest employers, including many prestigious resort and casinos in Las Vegas.

Passionate about representing employees, Mr. Natke moved to Long Beach, CA, where he began representing public employee associations in traditional labor law matters. He has expertise in all areas of labor and employment law, in both the public and private sectors, and in unionized and non-union environments. Mr. Natke is licensed to practice law in California and Nevada.

Mr. Natke is a versatile and tough contract negotiator, who often uses interest-based win-win bargaining techniques with traditional hard bargaining strategies to obtain the best possible result for his clients. He is also an aggressive advocate in litigation, grievances, and disciplinary hearings.  Mr. Natke is a trusted advisor to both unions and individual employees, particularly in labor-management issues and disability cases arising in the employment context.
